Last year’s Youth Jamboree set another new attendance record: 400 youth came out to try their hand at fishing, shooting and other outdoor activities. The Jamboree is completely free and open to the public. A cooperative effort by several wildlife and conservation organizations, it is a full day of safe, family-oriented outdoor activities. In its five years, it has grown every year with last year reaching the 400 milestone.
Not familiar with the Outdoor Youth Jamboree? Here’s some of what you may find at these events, held annually the second Saturday in May:
-
Instructor-led shooting sports (shotgun, rifle, air rifle and archery)
-
Retriever demonstrations
-

-
Fully guided boat tours of Big Hollow lake
-

-
Prizes, Giveaways, and a Free Lunch
-
Everything is 100% free! We provide everything from the fishing poles and bait, to the firearms and ammo. It truly was a whole-family event.
